This concludes the Black Flies pilot we did.

It was a neat little experiment (and excuse to scratch my eternal Ridley Scott Alien itch) that I wouldn’t mind revisiting at some point down the line.

I want to thank Marv Mann for knocking it out of the park as always, especially with the cast. Not just drawing them (though Marv’s a king of drawing folks), but a lot of diversity and weirdness among the cast that you’d have gotten to see in future installments (or you can see by clicking the character bio links as you flick through the archives) was down to Marv.

(For example: Carne taking center stage was definitely me writing for how interesting a character Marv had presented to me. )

And even though it didn’t pan out, I want to thank Rantz Hoseley for being the guy who got us doing the strip in the first place. It was fun to write (and color and letter) on my part, and what the hell, that’s good enough.
