Speaking of space, and suits, and professionalism in the face of weird shit: Prometheus comes out today. Next to Avengers, that was basically gonna be the highlight of my cinema-going year. Is; I haven’t seen it yet, but plan to sometime over the weekend.

I dunno, at time of writing, I’m half paying attention to Lost in Translation, half realizing I have nothing really newly profound to say about how much I enjoy Alien, how much that movie means to me. What’s the line? “Perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility.”

Alien is about as perfectly constructed a movie as I’ve ever seen, and probably the only movie in my top whatever that’s not even a little funny.
